Unlimit SioS is a self-checkout and unmanned-shop platform for Danish retail. Customers let themselves in with the app and pay at the terminal, and the shop stays open when nobody is behind the counter.
How it works
Three parts that work together, so a shop can run with a till, without one, or both at once.
The kiosk
A self-checkout terminal that scans items, takes card payment and prints or emails the receipt. It runs itself and can be managed remotely.
The app
Customers sign in, collect loyalty points, open the shop door in an unmanned store and keep every receipt in one place.
The back office
Stock, prices, campaigns, staff and sales across every shop, in one administration.
Built for unmanned retail
An unmanned shop has nobody to ask, so the parts that normally rely on staff have to work on their own.
Recognised at the till
The terminal can recognise a customer by face, so their purchase is linked to their account without signing in. How that works, and how to have your face data removed, is set out in the privacy policy.
Door access
The app opens the door for customers who are entitled to be there, and the visit is logged against the purchase.
Digital receipts
Every sale produces a receipt the customer can open from a link or a QR code, by email or on paper.
